Dayton History Museum - 4D Theater

Miami University in Oxford Ohio is dubbed the "Cradle of Coaches" for their lengthy list of legendary football coaches. Only a few miles away, Dayton Ohio has an impressive list of their own; entrepreneurs. During the golden age of manufacturing and innovation, Dayton was an energetic hub of entrepreneur superstars such as aviation pioneers Orville and Wilbur Wright.

The Wright brothers are two of five historic figures honored in a new 4d theater experience featured at the Dayton History Museum. LifeFormations worked closely with the staff of the museum to design and deliver a show that celebrates the contributions of these five men in an engaging manner for guests of all ages.

The solution is a rich blend of media and effects that pull the audience into the story. The five animatronic figures serve as the stars of the show; sharing their story in their own words. This is accompanied by a video presentation punctuating their remarks with photos, video and supporting graphics.

The audience is immersed in the story when their seat literally begins to rumble during a rocket launch, they feel the gentle breeze created by an airplane propeller, or even a light mist during the rains of the historic flood.
